Victory Fitness ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Victory Fitness mobile app (iOS and watchOS), visit our website officialvictoryfitness.com, or purchase our products.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a Victory Fitness account, we collect the information provided by your chosen sign-in method (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password), which may include your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. Authentication is handled by our identity provider, Clerk.

Health and Fitness Data

With your explicit permission, the app reads and writes data through Apple HealthKit, which may include workouts, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), VO2 max, blood oxygen (SpO2), resting heart rate, step count, and running metrics such as power, stride length, and ground contact time, as well as biological sex where relevant to training calculations. This data is used solely to power in-app features — training plans, recovery/readiness scoring, achievements, and workout history — and is never used for advertising and never sold to data brokers or advertising platforms, consistent with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Location Data

The app requests location access, including background location while a workout is being recorded, to track GPS routes, distance, pace, elevation, and to power features such as route flyover, route replay, and AI-suggested routes near you. Location data collected during a workout is stored as part of that workout's record and is only shared with other users if you choose to post the workout to the social feed.

AI Coach Conversations and Training Data

Messages you send to the in-app AI Coach, along with relevant training context (such as your goals, recent workouts, and plan preferences), are sent to Google (via the Gemini API) to generate responses and to build your personalized training plan. Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider and does not use it to train its own models outside the terms of our agreement with Google.

Photos, Camera, and Microphone

If you choose to attach a photo to a workout, set a profile picture, or upload a custom coach icon, the app requests access to your camera and/or photo library for that purpose only. If you use voice-command features during a workout, the app requests microphone access to process spoken commands.

Social and Community Content

Victory Fitness includes social features — a workout feed, friends/followers, comments, and reactions. Any workout, photo, caption, or comment you choose to post is visible to your followers or, depending on your privacy settings, to other users of the app. Please be mindful that anything you share in these spaces is not private.

Subscription and Payment Information

In-app subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store (or Google Play, on Android) and managed with RevenueCat, which provides us with subscription status and entitlement information. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Third-Party Fitness Integrations

If you choose to connect a third-party service such as Strava, we exchange the minimum data necessary (via OAuth) to import or export your activities, subject to that service's own privacy policy. You can disconnect these integrations at any time from Settings.

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain technical information to keep the app and website reliable, including device type and OS version, app version, IP address, and crash/error diagnostics (via Sentry). We also send push notifications through Apple's Push Notification service for things like workout reminders, achievement unlocks, and social activity — you can disable these at any time in your device settings.

On our website, we automatically collect information about your browser, IP address, time zone, and the pages you view, and we use Google Analytics (which uses cookies) to understand how visitors use our site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, personalize, and improve the app's training, tracking, and coaching features
• Generate AI-powered training plans and coaching responses
• Process subscriptions and verify entitlements
• Enable social features you choose to use (feed, friends, comments)
• Send transactional and, with your consent, marketing communications
• Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Google (Gemini API) - to power the AI Coach and plan generation
• Clerk - authentication and account management
• RevenueCat - subscription and entitlement management
• Apple (HealthKit, App Store, Push Notifications) - as required to provide those platform features
• Strava - only if you choose to connect your account
• Sentry - crash and error diagnostics
• Stripe - payment processing for website/legacy digital-product purchases
• AWS S3 - file storage and delivery
• Resend - transactional email delivery
• Google Analytics - website analytics
• Amazon Associates - affiliate marketing program on our website
• Other Victory Fitness users, but only content you affirmatively choose to share (posts, comments, profile info)

These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Affiliate Disclosure

Victory Fitness is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click on affiliate links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. The mobile app does not use browser cookies.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the app's features (for example, keeping your workout history so you can track progress over time), unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Victory Fitness is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
